The Best Six Pack Abs Workout For Summer

One of the most popular and difficult parts of the human body to perfect is the stomach. For both men and women, being able to have a “six pack” is ideal and a great sign of a fit and healthy person.

For many women, the stomach is a tough area to develop and tone, and there are several over-the-counter pills that can be taken to help break down the fat around the stomach, but they don't quite help to build up the abdominal muscles. This is where a six pack abs workout can help.

There are several different exercises that can provide the ultimate six pack abs workout, and they can be combined or done on their own. For just a few minutes a day 5-7 days a week, a six pack abs workout will help build strength in your abdominal area, and provide you with the look you want!

One of the basic exercises that can be done to develop and tone the stomach is sit ups. This is traditionally the first step into creating a six pack abs workout. Whether they are done while holding an exercise ball or with your arms crossed on your chest or placed behind your head, the overall technique is the same, and these will help to expand and contract the stomach muscles to encourage blood flow and muscle building.

Another version of the sit up is the crunch. These are smaller, isolated versions of the sit up and provide the stomach muscles with shorter expanding and contracting movements. Many who do not want to do the full sit up find crunches to be a more efficient six pack abs workout.

One of the most short-term and result driven exercises is the jackknife sit up. This is done by lying on the floor, with your arms extended behind your head. Raise both your legs and arms up at the same time to form a “v” shape. Your legs will naturally fold as you lift them to meet your arms. Then lie back down and repeat this exercise in sets of 10.

By completing any or all of these exercises, along with a reasonable low-fat diet, expect to see results quickly, and sooner than you think, you too will have those 6-pack abs… just in time for summer!
