Popped into the Six Pack Store today after work to see what's up. A bustling Friday afternoon with the Origlio truck out front had me curiuos. The Six Pack Store is like an angry dwarf that works out in a gym regularly: Small but tough and if you tango with it, you will pay the price and drive home thinking “What was I thinking when I started in with that?”

Albeit small, the Six Pack Store packs a wallop. The only three SMALL good sections are the little “make your own six pack” cold box to your quick left, the front cold box facing your right side as you walk in but ten feet back, and the growler filler taps that, today, had Avery ESB, Weyerbacher Black Hole, and Southern Tier Phin And Matts Extraordinary Ale.
Service was really polite, actually. The guy who must be the owner or manager was EXTREMELY friendly!!! He asked me over and over if he could offer any samples. Not being over bearing, but just friendly like. Nice! I snaggletoothed some Rusian River, FFF Gumball Head, a Southhampton Double White and a mixed 6 beer 6'er for $45. A bit pricey if ya figure $10 a bottle and $2 ea. in the 6 pack but all were good and diferent. It was worth it in that regard.
Quite pricey, but I was a crack addict in a drug bust prone corner with a good pusher calling my name.
Oh to be a beer geek in North East Phila. ***Warning: Highway Robbery ***
Beer is good. Happy expensive beering.
