<p>Here&rsquo;s an easy six pack abs training set to do just that. </p>
<p><span id="more-757"></span></p>
<p>CRUNCHES: Lay down on the floor, bending your knees slightly so your feet are flat on the floor. Cross your arms in front of you, putting the left hand on the right shoulder and the right hand on the left shoulder. Slowly curl your your shoulders off the mat, squeezing your abdominal muscles with each raise. Be sure not pull your neck upwards (this is why we put our handing in front and not behind the neck); rather make it a natural, smooth-flowing motion. Lift only your shoulder blades off the mat and hold that position for a span of two seconds before slowly releasing the shoulders back to the mat. Be sure not to let your shoulders completely rest on the mat before beginning your next repetition. Do 1 set of 25- 30 reps, then move right to the next exercise, only a few seconds of rest between sets. </p>
<p>CABLE CRUNCHES: Set up a double-rope at the cable machine, (if you don&rsquo;t have a cable machine, try using an exercise band attached to something high, like a door chin-up bar). With your knees on the floor, grab the ropes with both hands, put your hands at your forehead, locking them at this point on your head. Slowly curl your body and bring your elbows &ndash; and the resistance &ndash; down to your knees, holding the contraction for a two-count. Slowly rise up to a position where your torso is parallel to the floor and repeat the motion. Do 1 set of 25- 30 reps using a moderate weight, then move right to the next exercise, only a few seconds of rest between sets. </p>
<p>KNEE UPS: Sit on the edge of a bench, grasping on the sides of the bench with your hands to maintain steady balance. With your legs extended outward, slowly pull your knees into your chest, squeezing the abdominal muscles during the contraction. Hold this position for two seconds and then slowly extend your legs before repeating the motion. Try to keep the rocking and bouncing at a minimum. Do 1 set of 25 reps for this exercise, then move right to the next exercise, only a few seconds of rest between sets. </p>
<p>KNEE RAISES: Use a chin-up bar for this one, get a firm grasp on an overhead chin-up bar with your arms spread slightly wider than your shoulders. Make sure that your feet are not touching the floor. Trying not to swing or rock, slowly culr your body up bring your knees toward your chest, as if you&rsquo;re trying to bring your knees to touch your chest. Squeeze your abs and hold for a moment before slowly releasing your legs back to a straight position. Wrist straps are often used to assure a firm grip on the bar. Attempt 1 set of 10-15 reps per set, then move right to the next exercise, only a few seconds of rest between sets. </p>
<p>Now rest 1 to 2 minutes and repeat the exercises for a total of three 3 super sets of Six Pack Abs Training exercises </p>
<p>Any of these Six Pack Abs Training exercises can be done with your torso twisted at an angle in order to hit those stingy, hard-to-develop obliques. Also, abdominal muscles should be trained just like any other muscle group, which is on the average of one to 3 times a week. Research has shown that we should lift our legs between 30 to 45 degrees. Our hip muscles will begin to take charge of the crunch movement when we lift our legs beyond 30 degrees. Crunches with bent knees and unsupported legs maximize abdominal activity without risk to the lower back. </p>
<p>Focus on the quality of abdominal movement by doing the exercises slowly, with control. Try to visualize your abdominal muscles contracting tighter with each exercise, stressing the importance of the contraction. Try adding light hand held weights (2 to 4 lb) to some of the exercises only when you feel you really need that additional challenge. </p>

<p>During the design of an abdominal workout, choose between 5 to 10 exercises. Perform 8 repetitions of each exercise before going on to the next exercise. <p>You want to lose stomach fat and get a firm, flat stomach&#8230;maybe even with a little definition&#8230;maybe even a six-pack. </p>
<p>Who doesn&#039;t? I know I do. That&#039;s why I work so hard to get and maintain my physique. </p>

<p>It was tough, but it&#039;s not impossible. I&#039;m sick of hearing people say they don&#039;t have the genetics to lose stomach fat and get a firm, flat stomach, let alone get six-pack abs. </p>
<p>That&#039;s a bunch of crap! If you&#039;re reading this, you can lose stomach fat. As a matter of fact, you can lose as much stomach fat as you want and even get that six-pack. </p>
<p>You just need to do things differently than you are right now. </p>
<p>First, if you&#039;re not doing anything&#8230;do something. Sounds stupid, but you&#039;d be surprised how often I need to tell people that. </p>
<p>Second, you need to stop doing crunches, sit-ups, twists, leg lifts, etc. Doing hundreds and thousands of those exercises every week will not help you lose stomach fat, let alone get a flat, firm stomach and they especially won&#039;t help you get a six-pack. Not when you have a layer of flabby goo sitting on your waist line. </p>
<p>You need to burn the fat off your stomach and to do that you need to eat right and you need to do fat burning full body workouts. </p>
<p>Here&#039;s an example of a fat loss workout I just gave to a client that was specifically designed to help him lose stomach fat and get six-pack abs. </p>
<p>Perform this workout as a circuit and do as many circuits as you can in 15 minutes. Do this circuit before your regular workout when you&#039;re still fresh 2-3 times per week for the next 4 weeks. </p>
<p>1A) Dumbbell Split Squat &#8211; 10 reps per side 1B) &#8220;T&#8221; Push-up &#8211; 10 reps 1C) Overhead Squat &#8211; 10 reps 1D) Cross Body Mountain Climber &#8211; 30 seconds 1E) Push-up w/Dumbbell Row &#8211; 8 per arm </p>
<p>That workout will work your entire body, and each exercise is designed to put extra emphasis on your abs. If you do it right, you will feel it in your abs and you will lose stomach fat. </p>
<p>As far as fat loss nutrition and fat loss cardio go, here&#039;s the easiest things I can tell you. When it comes to nutrition, you&#039;ve got to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, no juices sorry, limit any food that comes in a bag or box and cut your dinner portions by about 25%. </p>
<p>For cardio, stick with interval training rather than boring steady state cardio that lasts for hours upon hours on end. Interval training is proven to burn more stomach fat than steady state cardio and has helped virtually everyone I&#039;ve ever trained lose stomach fat fast. </p>

<p>You cannot spot reduce anywhere on your body. You can spot tone your muscles in the area you are targeting, but you cannot spot reduce. </p>
<p>Here&#039;s an example. Look at your belly in a relaxed mode. Now suck in your stomach muscles. </p>

<p>Your pot belly is pretty much gone. Did you suddenly lose weight in that area? </p>
<p>Of course not! The same thing happens when you begin to properly exercise your ab muscles. The muscles become stronger and pull in the unsightly girth. Your abs look tighter and you look better, but unless you have actually lost weight overall, you have not actually lost any fat in that area. </p>
<p>To lose fat in the abs, you must lose weight overall. To make your abs look slimmer and sexier, you must develop the ab muscles. </p>
<p>One of the best pieces of exercise equipment you can purchase is an exercise ball, also called a swiss ball. Every time you do exercises on this ball, your ab muscles come into play. The abs are working to keep the ball steady and to keep you from falling off. </p>
<p>You can easily do two of the following exercises on the ball and increase the effectiveness. </p>
<p>1. The Bicycle </p>
<p>This has been proven to be one of the most effective ab exercises you can do. You cannot do this one on the ball. </p>
<p>Lie on your back with your hands behind your head. Lift your legs off the ground and raise your shoulders a couple inches off the floor. </p>
<p>Do not pull your neck with your hands. Push your lower back tight to the floor. Bring your left leg towards your chest while rotating your right elbow to touch your left knee. </p>
<p>Don&#039;t strain. As you return to the starting position, begin bringing your right knee in and rotate your left elbow to touch your right knee. </p>
<p>Work up to twenty repetitions each leg. Do them slowly. </p>
<p>2. Crunch </p>
<p>You are probably familiar with this one. Lay on your back with either your hands behind your head or on your chest. Legs are in a V-shape with your feet flat on the floor. </p>
<p>Once again push your lower back tight to the floor. Begin to raise your head and shoulders off the floor, tightening your ab muscles. Do not pull on your neck. You are only raising your shoulders a few inches off the ground. </p>
<p>At the top of the movement, hold for about one second, then return and repeat. Work to twenty repetitions. This is excellent on the exercise ball! </p>
<p>3. The Plank </p>
<p>Lie on your stomach. Feet are straight and close together. Push off the floor, raising up on your toes and your elbows. Keep your back straight and tighten your ab muscles. Hold for thirty seconds. Return and repeat for three to five repetitions. </p>
<p>Again, this exercise is excellent on the exercise ball. </p>
<p>Do these three exercises at least five days a week and the ab muscles will tighten up and you will look and feel great. </p>
